The Kentucky Guild of Brewers (KGB) will host its fifth annual beer festival, Kentucky Craft Bash, on Saturday, June 11, at Louisville Waterfront Park’s Festival Plaza.

In a news release, the Guild said that 2022 is “a comeback year for Kentucky beer,” noting that while it held a Craft Bash in 2021, it was in limited capacity due to Covid restrictions. In 2022, the Craft Bash will be bigger and better than ever before, the Guild said, with the goal to show the state that beer has grown to be more than just “bourbon’s little brother.

The festival is hosted by the brewers and brewery owners of the Commonwealth, many of whom will be in attendance, giving festival attendees a chance to put names to faces and see just how much love goes into the brewing process. It also is a chance for busy brewing professionals to convene in one place to socialize.

"I always look forward to Craft Bash,” said Charley Hamilton, owner of Dreaming Creek Brewery and President of the Kentucky Guild of Brewers. “It gives Dreaming Creek Brewery (Richmond) a chance to share our beers with lots of folks who may not otherwise try them. It also gives us a place to network with all the other breweries in Kentucky and share our industry stories. It’s truly a unique industry that we’re in and the camaraderie amongst brewers is awesome. I can't wait to see everyone this year.”

Breweries from every region of Kentucky gather to make Kentucky Craft Bash the state’s largest beer festival, producing and crafting beers found only within the Commonwealth.  There will be hundreds of beers to sample, distribution favorites, taproom-only releases, and one-off specialty beers. There will also be cider, seltzer, and non-alcoholic options available, with plenty of water, food, and activities.

Craft Bash benefits Cure CF as well as the HOP Foundation non-profit organizations. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased at www.kycraftbash.com.
