If you work downtown, you might be treated to a pretty sweet Valentine’s Day.

Once again, the Louisville Downtown Ambassadors will deliver hundreds of chocolates to downtown workers and visitors. The candies were made by Muth’s Candies, a NuLu business celebrating more than 100 Valentine’s Days in Downtown Louisville. Each piece of candy includes a note that reads “You can’t spell Louisville without L-O-V-E” in appreciation of all those who live, work and visit the downtown area.

In addition to the Valentine’s Day distribution, you will find Ambassadors handing out candy on:

  • Feb. 11: Pre-concert at KFC YUM! Center and Whiskey Row, 5:45-6:45 p.m.

  • Feb. 12: Dance Competition at Kentucky International Convention Center, 221 S. 4th St., 4:00-5:00 p.m.

  • Feb. 13: Pre-UofL Women’s basketball game at KFC YUM! Center, 12:00-2:00 p.m.

The Downtown Ambassadors are widely regarded as the “face of Downtown,” according to a news release, with more than 16 Ambassadors logging over 31,000 hours to provide cleanliness, maintenance and security services to Downtown’s physical environment.
