Old Louisville Garden Tour to Celebrate 30th Year in June

The Old Louisville Hidden Treasures Garden Tour returns for its 30th year on Saturday, June 8, and Sunday, June 9, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Garden lovers will get a glimpse into the private green spaces of the nation’s largest Victorian residential neighborhood, allowing patrons into these stunning and rarely-seen gardens.

For those interested in touring the Conrad-Caldwell House Museum during the Garden Tour weekend, a combo ticket will be offered again this year for only $10 more. Patrons who purchase the combo ticket may use it at any time through the end of July on days and times the museum is open. During the month of June, experience a traditional indoor Victorian garden.

Through historical research the Conrad-Caldwell House has expertly reimagined what the interior of the house would have looked like when outdoor gardening was not possible. Typical Victorian-era plants will be placed throughout the home during the month of June to take visitors back in time and to inspire visitors for indoor gardening in their own home on this self-guided experience!

During the tour, the lawn of the Conrad-Caldwell House Museum, located at 1402 St. James Court, will host various vendors who offer plants and other products for sale. Shop a silent auction for garden related items, Father’s Day baskets and entertainment packages in the air-conditioned Caldwell Hall in the lower lever of the Conrad-Caldwell House Museum.

Also, guests can enjoy complimentary sweets and savories in the Caldwell Hall Hospitality Center. The DuPont Inn Bed and Breakfast will once again host Art In The Garden, a gathering of local artists who will create and sell artwork in the Dupont Inn's lovely garden between noon and 5:00 p.m. all weekend.

Advance tickets (before 5:00 p.m. Friday, June 7, 2024) are $20 and can be purchased by visiting oldlouisvillegardentour.org/tickets. Tickets are $25 on the days of the tour. Seniors 65 and over are $20 on days of the tour. Customers may also purchase a combo ticket for $30 advance price that includes a tour of the Conrad Caldwell House Museum.

Day-of ticket sales Combos will be $35 standard price and $30 for seniors, 65 and older. Children 10 and under are free but must be supervised by an adult. Tickets purchased online will be available at Will Call on the front lawn of the Conrad-Caldwell House Museum on the days of the tour.

Proceeds from the Garden Tour help improve and preserve Old Louisville's historical Victorian heritage in various ways, such as the purchase and maintenance of period lighting, benches, flower urns and ornamental trash receptacles, a newly instituted tree-planting program, and support of other community organizations that improve living conditions for our residents.
