Oskar’s Slider Bar will close temporarily while owners Jesse and Liz Huot make repairs, according to a Facebook post on the restaurant’s page.

The post said the Scandanavian-themed eatery will close “for the next few weeks” to take care of plumbing and bar top issues. The post said they were problems the restaurant had experienced since opening. In the post, it was also noted that another restaurant the Huots own, Grind Burger Kitchen in NuLu, reopens today at 11 a.m., per a post earlier this week.

“Closing Grind a couple months ago really helped us knock out some long standing repair/remodeling projects so we are taking that opportunity to do the same here before our holiday season hits,” the post stated, adding, “We appreciate your patience and understanding and look forward to serving you sliders again for our 4 year anniversary party December 5th!”

Smor Nordic Bakery, another of the couple’s businesses, will remain open.
