Spring Street Bar & Grill to Launch Spring Wing Fest on May 20

Louisville is home to a variety of food-forward festivals, but there has yet to be a chicken wing festival. That ends with the launch of the Spring Street Bar & Grill's Spring Wing Fest launches this spring.

The inaugural Spring Wing Fest will take place on Saturday, May 20, 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. The family-friendly, neighborhood festival will feature a hot wing eating contest, live music, children's face painting, outdoor games and a variety of food and drink from Spring Street's regular menu.

Spring Street's parking lot will be transformed to host the festival, but the bar and restaurant's interior space will remain open as well. Here’s the schedule:

·  Hickory Vaught (live music), 3 p.m.-5 p.m.

·  Hot Wing Eating Contest, 5 p.m.-6 p.m.

·  EG2 (live music), 6 p.m.-8 p.m.

Proceeds from Spring Wing Fest will benefit Kentucky Waterways Alliance, who works to protect, restore, and celebrate Kentucky's waterways, and Beargrass Creek Alliance, who seeks to raise awareness and preserve Beargrass Creek, making it clean, safe, and accessible for all.

Spring Wing Fest would like to thank Pabst Blue Ribbon beer for their generous sponsorship.

The long-time Irish Hill neighborhood staple closed in 2020, but Spring Street Bar & Grill reopened under new ownership in October 2022. Spring Street is open seven days a week from 11 a.m. to 4 a.m.
