An award-winning autumn tradition returns this weekend. The 67th annual St. James Court Art Show takes place on Friday, Oct. 6, and Saturday, Oct. 7, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 8, from 10 a.m.-5 p.m.

During the three-day event, attendees will find works of art in 17 artistic mediums, from clay to wood, lovingly created by over 600 talented artists. In addition to the plethora of local artists from Kentucky, hundreds of artists travel to Louisville from all over the country to participate in this juried fine art and contemporary craft show. For a complete list of all 2023 participating artists, visit stjamescourtartshow.com/artists.

Adding to St. James Court Art Show’s list of awards and accolades, the art show was most recently named the “#1 Best Fine Art & Design Show in America”, ranking among 200 of the nation's most profitable art and craft festivals, by Sunshine Artist Magazine. The annual list ranks the nation’s most profitable art and craft festivals based on subscribers’ reported sales in 2021.

The 200 best list is based entirely on revenue because, “That’s the most objective indicator of a show’s future success. Subjective attributes such as artist treatment, amenities, attendance levels, management, or even overall quality can certainly impact sales, but they’re harder to gauge and therefore have no direct bearing on these rankings,” as cited in Sunshine Artist magazine’s press release. Receiving the #1 ranking is made even greater when one considers that the voters are the artists themselves.

The St. James Court Art Show is once again partnering with Fund for the Arts to showcase a series of performances from different cultures and forms of art. The Republic Bank Local Performance Village Presented by Fund for the Arts, will be located in Central Park. View this year's performance schedule at stjamescourtartshow.com/performances.
