Common Haus Hall Closing

Common Haus Hall, the Jeffersonville sister restaurant of Pints & Union in New Albany, announced it will close this month.

In a post on its Facebook page, the German restaurant and beer hall posted “Noch einer beißt ins Gras” … which is essentially the German translation of “another one bites the dust,” for you fans of the rock band Queen. The restaurant opened last June.

The announcement reads, “We are so grateful for all of YOU that have made this journey an amazing experience! We pulled off the impossible against impossible odds! Opening late, Staff issues galore, So many road closures we lost count the list goes on! And THIS AMAZING staff that is here did the best job possible! We will be closing our doors February 19!”

Exclamation points aside, the post said the restaurant will officially close out its run with a “blow out party” on Feb. 19, with live music, beer and food specials the week leading up and “LITER MUGS for sale.”

The announcement does foreshadow a return, however, saying, “You will see us again, when the time and space is right, one door closes only to open endless possibilities!”

Meanwhile, Pints & Union continues to operate in New Albany. Stay tuned for potential updates.
