Louisville Ranks 23rd Among Best 200 U.S. Cities for Witches
With Halloween just days away, word comes that Louisville ranks 23rd among the Top 200 U.S. Best Cities … For Witches.
Lawn Love, which is a lawn care service that also does studies like this one, compared the 200 biggest U.S. cities based on access to covens, tarot readers and astrology classes. The study also looked for cities teeming with natural healers, herbalists, and metaphysical supply stores, among 18 total metrics.
New York City was the runaway winner, ranking first in four categories – Covens, Health, Spirituality and Witch Supplies – comprising those metrics and amassing a total score of 82.23. For comparison’s sake, No. 2 Los Angeles compiled a total score of 57.17.
No, Salem, Mass., didn’t make the list, but only because it didn’t crack the Top 200 in terms of population. However, Salem, Ore., made an appearance at 56th.
Ranking No. 23, Louisville had a composite score of 17.35, finishing 45th in Covens, 51st in Health, 28th in Supplies and a highly impressive 8th in Spirituality. The Spirituality category is ranked based on the number of Pagan churches, cemeteries, astrology classes, astrologers, tarot readers, supernatural readings and psychics in a given city.
Apparently, Louisville has a lot of those, which should make for a happy Halloween.
