Spring Street Bar & Grill to Host Spring Street Fall Fest Oct. 21

Spring Street Bar & Grill announced a festival for all ages in the Irish Hill neighborhood: The inaugural Spring Street Fall Fest.

The festival will take place on Saturday, Oct. 21 beginning at noon in Spring Street's parking lot (300 S. Spring Street); the space will be transformed to host the festival, while the bar and restaurant's interior space will remain open as well. 

The family-friendly, neighborhood festival will feature a pie eating contest, bobbing for apples, an adult pumpkin carving contest, kids pumpkin decorating station, barbeque, and performances from Louisville Leopard Percussionists, a performing ensemble comprised of 60+ student musicians in grades 2-9, who reside in 33 different Louisville zip codes and attend 49 different schools in and around Louisville. The complete Spring Street Fall Fest schedule is below:

  • 12:00 p.m.- Spring Street Fall Fest Begins

  • 1:30 p.m.- Kids Pie Eating Contest

  • 3:00 p.m.- Kids Pumpkin Coloring Judging

  • 3:30 p.m.- Adult Pumpkin Carving Judging

  • 4:00 p.m.- Adult Pie Eating Contest

  • 5:00 p.m.- Louisville Leopard Percussionists

The kids pumpkin coloring station is free to all attendees. Children and families can paint, decorate and take home their own mini pumpkin. 

Adults can showcase their creative skills by entering the pumpkin carving contest. To enter, participants must bring their fully carved medium to large size pumpkin to Spring Street Bar & Grill between 11 a.m.-noon on Saturday, Oct. 21. Judging will take place at 3:30 p.m. Prizes will be awarded to the pie eating contest and adult pumpkin carving contest winners.

October 2023 marks the one-year anniversary of the long-time Irish Hill neighborhood staple reopening under new ownership. Spring Street Bar & Grill is open seven days a week from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 a.m.
